District calls for wa­ter sav­ing

WA­TER is a pre­cious com­mod­ity that should be re­spected.

This was the message when the King Cetshwayo District Mu­nic­i­pal­ity - in part­ner­ship with the Na­tional De­part­ment of Wa­ter and San­i­ta­tion, Na­tional De­part­ment of En­vi­ron­men­tal Af­fairs, KZN De­part­ment of Eco­nomic De­vel­op­ment, Tourism & En­vi­ron­men­tal Af­fairs, RBIDZ and uM­folozi Lo­cal Mu­nic­i­pal­ity - hosted a com­mem­o­ra­tion of Wa­ter Week at Ezin­donini in uM­folozi last week.

In her key­note ad­dress the District Mayor Cllr Nonhle Mkhulisi spoke to com­mu­nity mem­bers about the im­por­tance of sav­ing wa­ter.

The lead­er­ship later handed over buck­ets, trees to be planted, mugs and wa­ter tanks to four schools around the area.
