Nokwazi the fairest of them all
Thirty local beauty queens battled it out at the Miss Mzingazi 2018 pageant at the Mzingazi Community Hall outside Richards Bay on Saturday.
The contestants in both senior and junior categories left their hearts and souls on the runway to impress the panel of judges.
Their journey started with the audition phase in February, followed by a series of tests including outdoor photo shoots and fund-raising events.
At the final showdown, 21-year-old model Nokwazi Ndwandwe scooped the title, followed by Noxolo Thwala and Sbahle Biyela.
The shindig was also packed with tons of entertainment, from dance groups to kwaito, hip hop crews and poets.
This was beauty and special community event spearheaded by local Sthulile Mtshali supported by the City of uMhlathuze, Easy Way Driving School and others. According to Mtshali the winners will soon become involved in various community initiatives, especially in the youth development sector.
