RICHARDS Bay golfer Jacques Swartz found the ‘sweet’ spot on all of his clubs when competing in the Saturday Monthly Mug competition at the Richards Bay Country Club over the weekend, which resulted in him taking the A Division crown.

Swartz posted a number of birdies and pars, carding a 66 nett and 75 gross.

Ro-Juan Hills stamped her mark in the women’s competition, ending as runner-up with a 67 nett and won the IPS section with 40 points.

Hills, who played with Gerry Gibson, Kathy de Gasperi and Tracy van Zyl on Saturday thoroughly enjoyed the playing conditions.

Tracy Coetzer chipped her way to the women’s title when she carded a 66 nett, with Frank van Niekerk (69 nett) and Ernest van Ballegooyen (71 nett) taking the men’s B and C divisions respectively.

Focus will now shift to this weekend when club members compete in the Club Championships on Saturday and Sunday.
