According to Richards Bay SAPS Communications Officer Captain Debbie Ferreira, a vehicle in Meerensee was also broken into between Monday night and Tuesday morning. The back window was broken to gain entry into the vehicle.

Vehicles left at businesses in Dollar Drive were also targeted in the last few months.

‘We appeal to residents to always check that their vehicles are locked at all times and to be aware of this modus operandi,’ said Ferreira.
