Dover school on an agri­cul­tural cam­paign

DOVER Com­bined Farm School has em­barked on a cam­paign to make farm­ing fash­ion­able among learn­ers in the lower grades.

This was ev­i­dent on Tues­day when school Prin­ci­pal Won­der­boy Mzobe showed Grade 7 learn­ers a piece of land do­nated by Dover UVS to be used for agri­cul­tural pur­poses.

‘As a school which of­fers agri­cul­tural man­age­ment as a sub­ject, it is our wish to en­cour­age our learn­ers to get more in­volved in agri­cul­ture as a whole.

‘We want them to be at the fore­front of driv­ing agri­cul­tural food se­cu­rity for the school, as well as sell­ing food pro­duce in or­der to gen­er­ate ex­tra funds for the school,’ he said.

Learn­ers at Dover Com­bined Farm School in­spect the piece of land to be used for agri­cul­tural pur­poses - Luyanda Mthembu, No­math­emba Mthembu, Silindile Gumede, Lon­deka Mncwango, Won­der­boy Mzobe (Prin­ci­pal), Lwazi Mndiy­ata, Nku­l­uleko Du­misa and Mpakamo Mbatha
