Bell tolls for industry stalwart
POPULAR Zululand resident Clive Barrett passed away on Sunday after a long and brave battle against cancer.
Clive, a well known businessman, joined Bell Equipment in 1977 and served as Logistics Manager until January 2004, when he was appointed Global Parts Supply Manager.
His career success progressed and in 2004 he was promoted to Director: Group Parts Marketing.
Despite retiring at age 65 in 2010 to a quieter life in the village of Mtunzini with his beloved wife Hillary, Clive remained on contract to the company to manage various purchasing projects owing to his extensive knowledge and experience.
He is survived by Hillery and their two sons, Mark and John.
A memorial service will be held to celebrate Clive’s life on Saturday, 20 October at 11am at the Mtunzini Country Club.
