DURACELL fit­ness bun­nies from lo­cal pri­mary schools com­peted in the an­nual St Cather­ine’s School Su­per­sport Chal­lenge on Tues­day af­ter­noon, which saw par­tic­i­pants be­ing pushed to the limit in the mus­cu­lar strength and en­durance de­part­ment.

Com­peti­tors bounced around be­tween 12 sta­tions, com­plet­ing the task at hand un­der the set time and col­lect­ing points for their ef­forts.

This year saw the ath­letes com­pete in push-ups, skip­ping, medicine ball lifts, rope jumps, sit-ups, slope run, net­ball, sui­cides, hockey, ten­nis, run­ning and star jumps.

The aim of the event is to test mus­cu­lar strength, en­durance, speed, agility and hand-eye co-or­di­na­tion to iden­tify and crown the ‘fittest’ in­di­vid­ual in Zu­l­u­land.

Af­ter all the dust had set­tled, St Cather­ine’s School’s Aaryan Poorun was crowned the boys’ cham­pion with 568 points and Felix­ton Col­lege’s Roxy Neu­mann the girls’ cham­pion with 479 points.
