Casa Munoa

JEWELER

-

Casa Munoa is a leader in terms of Basque and Spanish jewelry that has been present in San Sebastián since 1935 when it was founded. Claudio Munoa, a thirdgeneration goldsmith, is who currently runs the business and designs all the pieces that are subsequently manufactured in the workshop, which is located inside the retail shop itself. Every generation of the family has added innovations that have kept the company at the forefront of the jeweling trade. That combination of experience, tradition, modernity, and a job well done yields pieces of good taste and maximum quality.

In their establishment located in San Sebastián’s Old Town, all kinds of jewelry can be found: rings, bracelets, earrings, necklaces, etc.the pieces are made entirely in the company’s own workshop; thus, each one is 100% ‘made in San Sebastián.’

In addition to the shop’s collection of fine jewelry created by Claudio Munoa, customers may also order a custom piece with any design, metals, gemstones, and characteristics they desire – always with the advice and guidance of Claudio, thus creating a jewel that is truly special and personal. Likewise, the shop also has a carefully selected range of antique and vintage jewelry in perfect condition.

They also repair and restore pieces brought in by customers. Many times these pieces are no longer worn because they are somewhat outdated. Munoa updates them or creates new pieces from them, giving new life to jewelry in disuse and, in turn, encouraging the reuse of the jewel – thus, helping to protect the sustainability of the environment.

For those who wish to take a special souvenir from San Sebastián back home with them, Casa Munoa has created Donostibay – a pendant that pays tribute to the city, recreating the silhouette of the famous La Concha Bay. Donostibay has different versions: from the simplest version made of brass and coated in 18-carat gold to the solid silver option and the more luxurious piece made in 18-carat yellow or white gold with an emerald or brilliant-cut diamonds.

A visit to San Sebastián is not complete without stopping by this iconic jewelry shop – a shop which will give visitors the unique opportunity to get to know a charming, traditional establishment.
