On Saturday, August 12th at midnight, a unique show gets underway in Altea.

From five platforms installed in the waters off the beach of l'Olla, fireworks are launched in a fabulous pyro-aquatic display christened the Castell de l'Olla.

A delicate and entertaining display of fireworks and light organised this year by Carlos Caballer.

A spectacle to behold with the Mediterranean creating a fabulous backdrop under the moonlight and with a cool sea breeze.

Take in this show either at sea or from the shore, as you can watch the Castell de l'Olla from the luxury of your own boat or on the shore, but whatever you do, don't forget to bring your own drinks and food.

Parties with music and bar service will start on the beach as the fireworks finish in the sea.

This event is part of San Lorenzo fiestas in La Olla, so traffic and parking is usually a problem this day, this is why we strongly recommend the train 'trenet' as it stops at l'Olla and there will be a special non-stop service for this event.

For exact times etc, visit www.tramalicante.es. See the special services page under ' Fuegos de la Olla de Altea'.
