The Deadwood Stage Company
The Deadwood Stage Company haven't been sitting on their laurels since the success of their last show "Granma Mia" in May. Looking ahead they are in the throes of planning their next theatrical venture and under the direction of David Whitney they are getting to grips with a 'panto' themed Two Act comedy written by David and entitled "Cinder-Hella" . More suited to adult audiences the initial read through prompted much laughter and looks set to be quite a happy fun filled rehearsal process. With a couple of parts still in the offing the stage group are seeking new members, both acting and non acting. This friendly group meet every Wednesday afternoon from 3pm to 5pm at "The Porter
House Bar" at the Rioja centre which is located near toVilla Martin.
David has over fifty years of amateur stage experience under his belt, as actor, director and writer and is looking forward to the challenge of working with a new drama group. The comedy play, has elements of panto, with costumes, music and audience participation but David would like to stress that it is not a 'pantomime'
but a theatrical entertainment, filled with double entendre's and adult humour.
No date has been finalised for this production but it is sure to be one 'Hella' of a rehearsal getting there.
