Paving the way

Costa Blanca News (North Edition) - - NEWS - By Jack Troughton

WORK on a coastal road in Jávea is expected to last four months as pavements are widened and given a facelift for pedestrians.

Diversions have been put in place for vehicles and the public bus service on Avenida Ultramar, the road that links the popular Arenal beach area and the Cala Blanca cove – a one-way system is in operation.

The roadside closest to the sea will be renovated first, workmen returning along the land side in the reverse direction - and new 'decorative elements' and trees will be in- stalled as wells as protection for the Roman remains.

The town hall has undertaken to maintain access to dwellings during the period.
