Cash for new storm tank

Costa Blanca News (South Edition) - - News -

More than €2.1 million is being invested in a new storm tank at Avenida Patrulla Águila in San Pedro del Pinatar.

It will collect run-off water from the Cobatillas and El Mirador watercourses during heavy rain so it does not reach the Mar Menor.

The storm tank will also protect the area from floods.

It is linked up to a drainage network and the existing tank in Calle Ronda de Poniente and a new tank planned for Calle Castillo de Olite.

The rainwater will be pumped into the sewage network, ending up at the treatment plant.

According to the council, it will be operational by next summer.
