A calisthenics park is to be built in Orihuela city’s Severo Ochoa park.

Councillor for youth Mar Ezcurra said it will have bars of different sizes, positions and heights, along with an area adapted to people with mobility problems.

She pointed out that the facility had been asked for by many young residents in Orihuela.

At the same time, she announced that similar parks will be built in Orihuela Costa and in the rural districts.

Sra Ezcurra said that exhibitions, workshops and activities will be organised to advise residents on calisthenics and turn Severo Ochoa park into a meeting place to practise sport.

Calisthenics is based on systematic rhythmic bodily exercise designed to develop physical health.

The plan aims to link the Clot and Agua Amarga
