A se­ries of seven themed guides cover­ing Ali­cante prov­ince's di­verse land­scape - in­clud­ing the sea, moun­tains, wet­lands and for­est - are avail­able on­line at www.senderos­deal­i­cante.com The com­pre­hen­sive guides of­fer de­tails of walk­ing, cy­cling, un­der­wa­ter (for scuba divers) and climb­ing routes, beaches and ge­o­log­i­cal guides and tours of the prov­ince's salt his­tory. The cy­cling and walk­ing guides are avail­able in English, with the re­main­der only avail­able in Spanish Open daily 10.00-19.00. Bank holidays 10.00-14.00. Mon­days closed. Pala­cio Grav­ina at Calle Grav­ina, 13 near El Pos­tiguet beach. Open­ing hours from Septem­ber 1 to June 30: Tues­day to Satur­day 10.00-20.00 and Sun­days and bank holidays from 10.00-14.00. July 1 to Au­gust 31: 11.00-21.00 and Sun­days and bank holidays from 11.00-15.00. It is closed on Mon­days.

Per­ma­nent ex­hi­bi­tion: of paint­ings by Ali­cante painters. The ex­hi­bi­tion shows the evo­lu­tion of the re­gion's painters from the 19th cen­tury and in­cludes paint­ings such as 'La rada de Ali­cante' by Rafael Mon­león, nine mas­ter­pieces by Joaquín Sorolla, 'El Dux Foscani des­ti­tu­ido' by Ri­cardo Navar­rete, 'Re­posi­ción de Cristóbal Colón' by Fran­cisco Jover, 'Huér­fanos' by Fer­nando Cabr­era and 'La úl­tima bor­rasca' by He­liodoro Guil­lén Plaza Dr Gómez Ulla Tues­day to Fri­day from 10.0019.00, Satur­days from 10.00 to 20.30 and Sun­days and bank holidays 10.00-14.00.
