Cádiz car­ni­val comes to Tor­rvieja

THE FIRST Torrevieja car­ni­val fes­ti­val takes place at the Eras de la Sal tonight (Fri­day, Au­gust 10).

Per­form­ing at the event will be three first prize winners at the 2018 pres­ti­gious Cádiz car­ni­val con­test.

Coun­cil­lor for cul­ture Domingo Pérez said: “This is an orig­i­nal event be­cause, for the first time, Torrevieja will have dif­fer­ent the­atri­cal and mu­si­cal per­for­mances that are ad­mired and cel­e­brated in all of Spain.”

Specif­i­cally the fes­ti­val will fea­ture per­for­mances by the Luis Rivero choir with their show, Vive, Sueña, Canta (live, dream, sing); the Juan Car­los Aragón ‘Los Mafiosos’ car­ni­val group; and the Vera Luque street per­form­ers and their pro­duc­tion No tengo el Congo para faro­lil­los.

The full show fea­tures in the re­gion of 80 per­form­ers.

It starts at 18.00 with ac­tiv­i­ties and per­for­mances by lo­cal car­ni­val groups and the main show gets un­der­way at 21.00.

Tick­ets are €18 and avail­able through the web­site los­san­gochaos.com and at a num­ber of out­lets in the town, which are listed on the page.
