Cádiz carnival comes to Torrvieja
THE FIRST Torrevieja carnival festival takes place at the Eras de la Sal tonight (Friday, August 10).
Performing at the event will be three first prize winners at the 2018 prestigious Cádiz carnival contest.
Councillor for culture Domingo Pérez said: “This is an original event because, for the first time, Torrevieja will have different theatrical and musical performances that are admired and celebrated in all of Spain.”
Specifically the festival will feature performances by the Luis Rivero choir with their show, Vive, Sueña, Canta (live, dream, sing); the Juan Carlos Aragón ‘Los Mafiosos’ carnival group; and the Vera Luque street performers and their production No tengo el Congo para farolillos.
The full show features in the region of 80 performers.
It starts at 18.00 with activities and performances by local carnival groups and the main show gets underway at 21.00.
Tickets are €18 and available through the website lossangochaos.com and at a number of outlets in the town, which are listed on the page.
