Ex­perts have warned that less than half the Span­ish pop­u­la­tion in­cludes the rec­om­mended daily in­take of cal­cium in their diet. Cal­cium is vi­tal in pre­vent­ing os­teo­poro­sis, which weak­ens bones to the point that they frac­ture. Dairy, es­pe­cially yo­ghurts, is the best source of cal­cium. Veg­eta­bles like cau­li­flower and broc­coli and dried fruits are also rec­om­mended.
