Win a car !
By Esther Ráez Martinez CUDECA Hospice and the fundraising group of volunteers, the Cudeca Goldies, are holding a raffle with a spectacular prize: A Renault Clio Life (75cv) valued at 9,990 euros.
2,500 raffle tickets are available for a donation of 10€ each. Compared to other draws the chance of winning is very high.
The winner will be the person with the same number as the first prize of the ONCE extraordinary draw on 1 January 2018. The prize will expire two months after the draw. In other words, if the winning ticket is not presented before February 28, 2018, the prize will go to Cudeca. Tickets are available at: The Cudeca Centre in Benalmadena (Avda. Del Cosmos S/N), Ruben Exchange offices in Torremolinos, Benalmadena and Fuengirola and Mapuchi Moda shop in La Cala de Mijas (below “Lush” Hairdressers).
The raffle has been authorised by both ONCE and the Delegation of the Junta de Andalucia in Málaga.
Cudeca will use the funds raised from this raffle to offer specialised care and attention to patients with cancer or other advanced terminal illnesses and to provide support to their families. Cudeca will assume the registration costs of the vehicle in the name of the winner, or a person designated by him/her; and the payment of the corresponding IRPF withholding tax. The car will be available to be collected at the Cudeca Centre in Benalmádena. The winner will bear the cost of the car insurance and any other expenses needed to get the vehicle on the road.
Cudeca staff are excluded from participating in this raffle; as well as employees, Cudeca Goldies, volunteers and collaborators involved in the organisation and distribution of the raffle tickets.

They gave their talent and time to help raise funds for the La Cala de Mijas Lions Club. Julie Barry, the president of the Club, thanked and congratulated them on a wonderful evening of fun and laughter.
She also thanked the hotel for the lovely three-course meal enjoyed by all in a memorable mountain setting. She explained how the total of over 400 euros raised will go to worthy causes in the local community.
Recognised as one of the major clubs supporting those in need in the community, the Lions of La Cala are a lively bunch who want to help wherever they can.
Their events are always something to look out for, so do not miss the Christmas Dinner and Dance at El Olivo in La Cala on the December 9. This one is very popular, and soon gets filled up, so put your name down as soon as possible and do not miss out on a fabulous evening. The Revival Band will be performing music from the 60’s onwards. And a three-course dinner including wine, beer and soft drinks up to midnight for 45 euros is an amazing price for such a fantastic event. And their Christmas Fayre this year, at the Tamisa Golf Hotel on the December 3 will start at 11am. With Father Christmas, Costa Soul singers and many stalls it is one of their biggest annual events enjoyed by all.
The Lions biggest income comes from their shop, in Calle Torremolinos 12 in La Cala, which is manned by volunteers. Do go along and have a look at their very reasonably priced stock on offer and get your tickets. If you have any items cluttering up your home, take it to them where it will help your community. The shop is always looking for volunteers to cover holidays and sickness, or to take on a few hours every week any time between Monday and Saturday from 10am to 2pm. So if you can spare any time for a good cause then please go along and support them, you will have a great time and help those who cannot help themselves. The shop telephone number is 677 059 061
