More Safor electric car charging points
By Samantha Kett THREE more electric car charging points have been set up in La Safor – this time in Gandia – adding to the one that was recently unveiled in Oliva.
One of these is opposite the Nissan dealership, which has stumped up the cash for fitting them.
Another is installed at the railway station and a third on the C/ Clot de la Mota near the C/ Alcoi corner in the beach area.
To use the chargers, electric car owners should obtain a card from the town hall or any of the local motor dealerships with a user ID, but they are open to visitors and tourists as well as residents.
Using the electronic charging points will be free of charge until Christmas, after which a token price will be set.
This is expected to be as little as €1 per 100 kilometres.
It takes around 20 minutes to fully charge up a car.
Oliva's charging point is at the C/ Monjas Clarisas and N-332 junction opposite Mas y Mas supermarket at the Dénia end, just outside the Iberdrola office.
