British pub stabbers sentenced
A court in Alicante has handed out prison sentences to two British men for stabbing two other customers in an Alfaz del Pi pub.
One of the men, J.A.F., received a prison sentence of two years and seven months, as the judge considers him the author of a crime of attempted murder.
The other man, M.F. was sentenced to one year, three months and 22 days for unlawful wounding.
Both Brits got involved in a pub fight in Alfaz del Pi on the night of February 11, 2011, as a result of which M.F. stabbed a customer, that he did not know prior to the fight, in the hand.
J.A.F tried to kill another by stabbing him in the neck and abdomen with a 23 cm. knife that he was carrying.
After the stabbing, both men took off, and were later arrested by police.
During the trial that took place last week in Alicante, both men declared themselves guilty,
