Marqués de Campo car ban all summer
By Samantha Kett DÉNIA'S central shopping boulevard will be shut to traffic all summer from lunchtime every day, the council has announced.
After months of deliberation, they have decided to close the Marqués de Campo from this Saturday (July 1) until September 10.
All cars must be off the street by 14.00, but any which are not moved by 16.00 will get a parking fine.
Those still parked on the Marqués de Campo at 17.00 will be towed, and the owners will have to go to the car pound behind the Ondara road industrial estate.
Bar and restaurant terraces will occupy the street from 18.00.
Parking and driving on the Marqués de Campo is banned completely on Sundays from now until September.
