Mar­qués de Campo car ban all sum­mer

By Sa­man­tha Kett DÉ­NIA'S cen­tral shop­ping boule­vard will be shut to traf­fic all sum­mer from lunchtime ev­ery day, the coun­cil has an­nounced.

Af­ter months of de­lib­er­a­tion, they have de­cided to close the Mar­qués de Campo from this Satur­day (July 1) un­til Septem­ber 10.

All cars must be off the street by 14.00, but any which are not moved by 16.00 will get a park­ing fine.

Those still parked on the Mar­qués de Campo at 17.00 will be towed, and the own­ers will have to go to the car pound be­hind the On­dara road in­dus­trial es­tate.

Bar and restau­rant ter­races will oc­cupy the street from 18.00.

Park­ing and driv­ing on the Mar­qués de Campo is banned com­pletely on Sun­days from now un­til Septem­ber.
