Me­di­ae­val menus at Bor­gia Palace

Fif­teenth-Cen­tury cui­sine is on the menu at Gan­dia's an­nual fes­ti­val and fair – a tasty op­por­tu­nity to find out what the élite yet deca­dent Bor­gia dy­nasty used to dine on back in their hey­day.

As part of the Fira i Feste­sat the end of this month – an event which takes over the whole town for a week – two Me­di­ae­val nights with meals cooked us­ing recipes from the era have been planned.

Head for the Bor­gia Palace on Satur­day, Septem­ber 30 or Sun­day, Oc­to­ber 1 for 21.30 for a slap-up repast of four starters, with two choices of main course, dessert, cof­fee and a drink in­cluded, for €30.

A chil­dren's menu with smaller por­tions and more kid-friendly choices is avail­able at €16.

Pre-book­ing is re­quired, and tick­ets can be pur­chased from the Palace re­cep­tion desk from Septem­ber 18 to 28, be­tween 10.00 and 13.30 or 16.00 and 19.30, or morn­ings only on Sun­days.
