Shop online at Oliva indoor market

Costa Levante News - - NEWS -

By Samantha Kett OLIVA indoor market plans to start home deliveries and online ordering, and has even taken to social media, launching itself on Facebook and Instagram.

The council wants to attract younger adults who would typically go to supermarkets instead, and thinks the best way to do so is to go digital.

“What is not on the internet doesn't exist to young people, so we consider it essential for the indoor market to get out there,” says local trade councillor Pepe Salazar.

A complete strategy overhaul took place a few years ago, says stallholders' association chair Margarita Criado.

One of the changes she is most proud of is reportedly their customer service, which is now 'much more humanised and attentive'.

As well as the social media sites – found by searching on them for Mercat Municipal Oliva – the indoor market soon plans to start its own website and online shop.

This will include a ' click and collect' and a home-delivery option.
