Baby ap­peal

By Jack Throughton THE SPAN­ISH fam­ily of a tiny baby des­per­ately need help in pro­vid­ing es­sen­tials for the in­fant, aban­doned by his fa­ther.

The lit­tle boy’s mother al­ready has three chil­dren and re­ceives sup­port from ‘Calp Ayuda’, the Ma­rina Alta town’s food bank.

How­ever, the fam­ily needs sup­port, such as baby clothes, a cot and a pram or pushchair.

Coun­cil­lor Carole Saun­ders, re­spon­si­ble for the food bank project, said: “Calp Ayuda was al­ready giv­ing food to the fam­ily, whose fa­ther aban­doned them as the mother gave birth to a new baby.

“She al­ready has three chil­dren but has ab­so­lutely no money to buy the es­sen­tial baby equip­ment needed at this spe­cial time.”
