Sky TV comes to Spain - officially

Costa Levante News - - NEWS -

By James Parkes SKY HAS officially launched its online TV platform (OTT) in Spain this week.

Established in the UK in the 1990s, Sky has spread to Germany (1991) and Italy (2003) plus Ireland and Austria. Spain is the next in their expansion plan. Initially, the OTT service is an online-streaming package with 12 pay-per-view channels included in its €10-per-month fee, plus films and series on demand. As in the case of other providers (Netflix and HBO), the first month is free and there is no compulsory term contract.

Sky can be viewed in Spain only with apps for iOS and Android via its website or buying a Sky TV Box - in which case other Sky channels including Sky News are available via its included Apps.

The 12 channels are FOX, FOX Life, TNT, Historia, Syfy, Disney Junior, Nickelodeon, TCM, Comedy Central, Calle 13, Disney XD and National Geographic.
