Mobile phone shop burglar caught in Massamagrell
News staff reporter A ROBBER behind at least three break-ins on mobile phone shops in the last year has been caught over an hour away and a haul of top-of-therange tablets and gaming consoles seized.
The accused, said to be Romanian, smashed a shop window with a concrete block in summer and pinched three of what are believed to have been the latest iPhone models.
Police worked out who he was and found out he was living in Massamagrell (L'Horta Nord, Valencia province).
A raid on his home uncovered four mobiles, a Samsung tablet, a video game station and €360 in cash.
He was then found to have been behind burglaries on shops in Gandia and Valencia in February and December, all with the same modus operandi of breaking windows with lumps of concrete.
The accused is said to have an existing criminal record.
