Court to probe accusation that ex-regional president was behind Valencia’s Gürtel corruption network
By Jo Pugh A GERMAN walker had to be rescued from a clifftop walk near Benitachell last Friday after suffering vertigo and an anxiety attack.
The man, aged 72, was walking with a group of tourists when he suddenly became paralysed in panic, and was unable to move either forwards or backwards.
The group was accompanied by a guide from the tourist office.
The guide called the local police and civil protection, whilst the fire brigade mobilised the Alfa 1 helicopter, with a rescue team on board.
Once the emergency services had reached the man, the helicopter transported him to Dénia fire station, where an ambulance was waiting to take him for assessment at Dénia hospital.
