Police seize narcotics in Mount Lavinia, Wattala and Minneriya

Mount Lavinia Divisional Vice Squad nabbed a man possessing 100 grams of Heroin worth over Rs.1 million on Saturday morning .

The 24-year-old suspect was a resident of Moratuwa area and was arrested whilst he was peddling the narcotics.

He was handed over to Mount Lavinia Police to be produced before Mount Lavinia Magistrate’s Court.

Meanwhile, Wattala Police arrested a trishaw driver who was transporti­ng a stock of Kerala Ganja weighing close to two kilos on Saturday afternoon.

The suspect was detained by the police on a tip-off. The suspect aged 37, who was a resident of Bandarawel­a, was to be produced before the Wattala Magistrate today.

Sleuths of Wattala Police were able to raid a house in Balahena Watta area and took a man into custody for possessing 149 grams and 700 milligrams of Heroin on the same evening.

The 46-year-old suspect, who was to to produced in the Wattala Magistrate’s court today. Meanwhile, Minneriya Police nabbed a person near the Minneriya Bus Stand and found two grams and 360 milligrams of Heroin in his possession.

The man aged 28 years was from the minneriya area.
