SL up against Asian heavy­weights

The Sri Lanka Men’s and Women’s Rugby Teams will scrum down for supremacy against the heavy­weights of Asian Rugby when the fi­nal leg of the Asian Rugby Sev­ens Se­ries 2017, pow­ered by Dia­log, gets un­der­way at the Race Course Grounds in Reid Av­enue on Saturday (14).

Sri Lanka of course pro­duced a spir­ited per­for­mance in Hong Kong (1st leg) and in South Korea (2nd leg) where they were able to win the Plate Cham­pi­onship on both oc­ca­sions.

How­ever, the de­fend­ing champions Hong Kong are ex­pected to re­tain the ti­tle de­spite stiff op­po­si­tion from Ja­pan, South Korea and Sri Lanka.

The fi­nal leg of the Asian Rugby Sev­ens Se­ries would be broad­cast live on Dia­log Tele­vi­sion Chan­nel Num­ber One.

En­trance is free for pub­lic and the tour­na­ment would kick­off at 10 a.m. on both days.
