TRUMP CARD: Pres­i­dent Maithri­pala Sirisena said yes­ter­day he had used only one trump card and that there were more in his hand.

HIPO: Please stop mak­ing such state­ments. It goes against the very ob­jec­tive you hope to achieve. Yes, we want true democ­racy in Sri Lanka!

DAN: Why are th­ese peo­ple wor­ried about our do­mes­tic af­fairs? Mind your own busi­ness, please!

HETTIARACHCHI: Demo­cratic and civ­i­lized and thereby de­vel­oped coun­tries are con­cerned over the cur­rent move by Sri Lanka to­wards au­toc­racy.

JUDE: Bet­ter late than never! Here comes re­al­ity! Can MS lay his cards on the ta­ble on No­vem­ber 14? Can he talk the talk, walk! Hmm.. walk?

RAVIN: Why are our politi­cians, by their own mis­deeds, al­low­ing for­eign coun­tries to in­ter­fere into mat­ters that should be sorted out do­mes­ti­cally?

CHARI: Is it demo­cratic to not hold elec­tions when due? Need to re­de­fine the mean­ing of democ­racy! Both lo­cal and pro­vin­cial coun­cil polls were not held on time!
