Suren ap­pointed Honorary Con­sul for Van­u­atu

Suren Abey­wick­rema has been ap­pointed the Honorary Con­sul for Van­u­atu in Sri Lanka. Mr. Abey­wick­rema re­ceived his ap­point­ment from the Van­u­atu Min­is­ter of For­eign Af­fairs, In­ter­na­tional Co- op­er­a­tion and Ex­ter­nal Trade Bruno Le­ingkone.

“Sri Lanka and Van­u­atu are both is­land coun­tries and there are sec­tors es­pe­cially in tourism where the Sri Lankan gov­ern­ment can help by at­tract­ing for­eign in­vestors from Sri Lanka to come to Van­u­atu and boost this in­dus­try . I will help fa­cil­i­tate busi­ness peo­ple in Van­u­atu to meet up with the busi­ness com­mu­nity of Sri Lanka and vice versa,” Mr. Abey­wick­rema told the Daily Post news­pa­per in Van­u­atu.

Mr. Abey­wick­rema, a Char­tered Mar­keter and Man­age­ment Ac­coun­tant is CEO and Jt. Man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor of Par­adise Group which op­er­ates in Sri Lanka, Van­u­atu, the Solomon Is­lands and Ja­pan. He is a Fel­low of the Char­tered In­sti­tute of Mar­ket­ing (CIM, UK), the Aus­tralian In­sti­tute of Man­agemnt and has an MBA from Aus­tralia.
