Bou­ter­se to at­tend fu­ne­ral ser­vi­ce of ‘El Co­man­dan­te Cas­tro’

Pre­si­dent De­si Bou­ter­se left for Cuba on Tues­day mor­ning to at­tend the fu­ne­ral ser­vi­ce of Fi­del Cas­tro which will be held in Ha­va­na, ca­pi­tal of Cuba. A press re­lea­se from the Of­fi­ce of the Pre­si­dent in­di­ca­tes that Pre­si­dent Bou­ter­se left with 8 other de­le­ga­tes. Se­ve­r­al heads of sta­te from va­rious coun­tries will at­tend the fu­ne­ral ser­vi­ce of ‘EI Co­man­dan­te Cas­tro’. Pre­si­dent will al­so hold bi­la­te­ral talks with other heads of sta­te in Ha­van­na. Fi­nan­ce Mi­nis­ter Gill­m­o­re Hoef­draad is al­so a mem­ber of the de­le­ga­ti­on. Me­an­w­hi­le the em­bas­sy of the Re­pu­blic of Cuba on Mon­day ope­ned a book of con­do­len­ces for tho­se who want to pay their res­pects to the for­mer Cu­ban pre­si­dent. Pe­o­p­le can sign the book of con­do­len­ces at the em­bas­sy lo­ca­ted at Bro­ko­p­on­dolaan 4 this en­ti­re week un­til Sa­tur­day from 9 a.m. to noon and from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. They can al­so sign the book on Sun­day, De­cem­ber 4 from 10 a.m. to noon.

For­mer Cu­ban lea­der Fi­del Cas­tro died on Fri­day, No­vem­ber 25 at the age of 90. He was cre­ma­ted the next day. Cuba has de­cla­red ni­ne days of na­ti­o­nal mourning. Cuba is still being ru­led by Cas­tro’s bro­ther, Raul.
