Two people injured in shooting incident

A couple on Wednesday night was shot along the Frederikshoopweg. The victims were rushed to the emergency room before being admitted to the hospital. Sources told Times of Suriname that the man was shot in his chest while the woman was shot in one of her wrists. It all started when the man and his female neighbor started quarreling. During the argument the man threw an object at his neighbor which left her with a cut in her arm. The injured woman called her son-in-law who pulled out a gun before shooting the man and his wife. The shooter then fled the scene. The shooter’s mother-in-law also needed medical attention. It is not clear what the quarrel was about. The shooter is still at large.
