MZUTHINI SANCTIONS KNOCKOUT RESUMPTION
PORTS-HisMajesty’sCorrectional Services Commissioner GeneralIsaiahMzuthiniNtshangase has sanctioned the resumption of the department’s soccer knockout tournament.
Ntshangase has sponsored the tournament to the tune of E25 000 which is to be competed for by the 10 teams taking part in the on-going Commissioner General’s League.
Revealing the good news was the League’s Public Relations Officer
S(PRO) Majaha Kunene who stated thattheknockouttournamentisexpected to kick-off in a few weeks time. The publicist then applauded the commissioner general for his gesture and support within the department’s sports section as he said
Ntshangase has proved to be a gallant leader not just a mentor in all the sectors. “The commissioner general’s involvement in sports is one way of encouraging officers to be active in exercise instructions. Besides his busy schedule, Ntshangase takes his time and attends some of the matches on weekends. As an executive committee we are so humbled about the commissioner general’s shoreup towards the sport especially soccer,” the PRO said.
He further thanked Ntshangase for appointing Muhle Dludlu as the executive committee chairperson as he said his leadership skills have come in-handy towards the league’s success.
He also applauded the other members for their sleepless nights in making sure the league games reach the expected standard.
Worth noting is that the registration of players is still on-going and closes on August 5. Meanwhile the tournament rules require each team to register 30 players, 20 of which them are officers and 10 non-officers. The organisers went on to thank all the media houses for maintaining their support in covering the games.
