VETERAN FRIDAY MNCINA IS SRIC DARTS LEAGUE BEST
DARTS – Scandza veteran player Friday Mncina continued to shine within the local darts circles after being named the Swaziland Royal Insurance Corporation (SRIC) E65 000 League player of the year.
The 65-year-old player took home E500 plus a trophy during the League prize presentation held at the Timbali Lodge yesterday.
Mncina has been instrumental in Scandza’s second spot finish where they eventually lost the championship to inaugural champions Correctional on inferior point’s difference.
Mncina said discipline had kept him going over the past 30 years in the sport where he has won numerous individual prizes.
“I would like to thank the Almighty God for giving me strength to play the sport over the past 30 years and my teammates who have supported me since I started playing darts. This award has motivated me to continue working hard and keep on pushing as long I am having the strength to play the sport,” he said.
Coming second in the best was Sifiso Simelane who took home E300 and he was followed by Ntokozo Makhanya who finished third and took home E200.
