SRIC pledges more support to Darts
DARTS – Swaziland Royal Insurance Corporation (SRIC) has pledged to continue supporting darts in the country for the upcoming years.
The company proved its passion of developing the sport by pledging a sum of E20 000 towards the junior national team to compete in the upcoming Zone VI youth championship slated for next month in Lesotho.
The good news was relayed by the Company’ General Manager Zama Ngcobo during the League prize presentation.
“We would like to thank the Minister of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs David ‘Cruiser’ Ngcamphalala for commitment towards the development of sports in the country.
The Minister has been a leader in the improving of various sporting codes in the country and we are encouraged by his passion for sports, he said.”
“As part of our mission to develop the sport, we have decided to sponsor the junior national team that would represent the country in Lesotho with E20 000 in order to promote future players and we are going to sit down with the executive to increase the prize money,” he said.
Meanwhile, Swaziland National Sports and Recreation Council (SNSRC) representative Zama Tsabedze thanked SRIC for it’s continuous support for sport in the country.
“We are quite impressed by the good work that has been done by SRIC in the country and we commend them that. We would like to congratulate the champions for their achievement and all the teams for displaying the spirit of fair play throughout the season,” he said.
