– ‘Foot­ball friends’ Esi­bayeni Lodge con­tin­ued to show pas­sion for foot­ball de­vel­op­ment in the coun­try and have pumped in E200 000 to­wards the 2017 /18 sea­son Un­der-17 League.

The com­pany made the com­mit­ment at a launch held at their premises in Mat­sapha yes­ter­day, mark­ing the com­mence­ment of the third edi­tion of the de­vel­op­ment League.

The new sea­son pack­age was an­nounced by Esi­bayeni Lodge Man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor Des­mond Oswin's daugh­ter Yolanda, who rep­re­sented her fa­ther on the day.

She said as the pas­sion shown by the young­sters en­cour­aged them to again pledge their sup­port.


“We are very happy to be part of foot­ball es­pe­cially in its de­vel­op­ment. We en­cour­age the play­ers to con­tinue work even this sea­son in or­der to re­alise their foot­ball dreams.

“We would also like to thank the Foot­ball As­so­ci­a­tion and the Pre­mier League of Swazi­land for the good work they have done in im­prov­ing the League,” she said. Mean­while, Pre­mier League of Swazi­land ex­ec­u­tive mem­ber Sicelo Mkhonta who rep­re­sented PLS Chair­man Vic­tor ‘Maradona’ Gamedze thanked the spon­sor for its com­mit­ment to­wards the de­vel­op­ment of foot­ball in the coun­try.

“We are grate­ful for all that has been done by Esi­bayeni Lodge in this league which grooms new tal­ent and fu­ture stars for the coun­try.

We are also happy with the progress that has been made by the League over the last two years and are ap­peal­ing to other com­pa­nies to take a leaf from Esi­bayeni in spon­sor­ing youth de­vel­op­ment foot­ball in the coun­try," he said.
