E200 000 FOR UNDER 17 LEAGUE
– ‘Football friends’ Esibayeni Lodge continued to show passion for football development in the country and have pumped in E200 000 towards the 2017 /18 season Under-17 League.
The company made the commitment at a launch held at their premises in Matsapha yesterday, marking the commencement of the third edition of the development League.
The new season package was announced by Esibayeni Lodge Managing Director Desmond Oswin's daughter Yolanda, who represented her father on the day.
She said as the passion shown by the youngsters encouraged them to again pledge their support.
“We are very happy to be part of football especially in its development. We encourage the players to continue work even this season in order to realise their football dreams.
“We would also like to thank the Football Association and the Premier League of Swaziland for the good work they have done in improving the League,” she said. Meanwhile, Premier League of Swaziland executive member Sicelo Mkhonta who represented PLS Chairman Victor ‘Maradona’ Gamedze thanked the sponsor for its commitment towards the development of football in the country.
“We are grateful for all that has been done by Esibayeni Lodge in this league which grooms new talent and future stars for the country.
We are also happy with the progress that has been made by the League over the last two years and are appealing to other companies to take a leaf from Esibayeni in sponsoring youth development football in the country," he said.
