STA grad­ing on 30 Septem­ber

– Lo­cal taek­wondo artists will be el­e­vated to higher cat­e­gories dur­ing an open grad­ing ses­sion to be held on Septem­ber 30.

The grad­ing, to be held at a venue still to be an­nounced, will see lo­cal taek­wondo teams flex their mus­cles in a bid to get pro­moted to a higher level. The artists will be un­der the watch­ful eye of top lo­cal judges who are ex­pected to be part of the event. Swazi­land Taek­wondo As­so­ci­a­tion Vice Pres­i­dent Sizwe Mabuza con­firmed the up­com­ing grad­ing ses­sion when con­tacted yes­ter­day. “We will be host­ing a grad­ing ses­sion at the end of the


month where artists will be as­sessed and fur­ther get el­e­vated to the next level. This will in­clude ju­niors, males and fe­males.

We do en­cour­age teams to start pre­par­ing them­selves for the up­com­ing event,” he said.

Mabuza fur­ther stated that they were cur­rently work­ing on amend­ing the as­so­ci­a­tion’s con­sti­tu­tion and strate­gic plan­ning for the cur­rent fi­nal year.

“We are hop­ing to con­clude the two ex­er­cises within the next three weeks and then present ev­ery­thing to the mem­bers once we con­clude the pro­cesses,” he also said.
