SHighlanders are likely to be without the trio of their key players Mlamuli ‘Mlaba’ Nkambule, Mfanufikile ‘Fash’ Ndzimandze and Sdumo Vilakati due to injury.

Highlanders will face off with Premier League rookies Vovovo in their second game of the league at Somhlolo National Stadium this afternoon. Vilakati collided with Manzini Wanderers sturdy forward Kola Aladeon during their league opening clash last week Sunday where Landers emerged victorious, beating Wanderers 4-1 and was replaced by former Royal Leopard goalkeeper Mphikeleli Dlamin.

Meanwhile Fash was said to have played with a hamstring injury in the same game and was limping towards the end of the clash while Nkambule has a recurring knee injury. Highlanders PRO Paul ‘Magidzeludzakeni’ Masilela said they are banking on a late fitness test for the pair of Nkambule and Ndzimandze. “The only player I’m sure will miss the game is Sidumo Vilakati but the team has enough depth and if the players are not available for selection, we have equally capable players to replace them,” he said.

Highlanders are currently second on the log table after what was a perfect start to the league campaign following their 4-1 victory over Wanderers.
