Observer on Saturday - - Lifestyle & Entertainment - WITH: Ayanda Dlamini

I t’s such a beautiful Saturday readers, another striking read of our most loved L& E. Today we are celebrating the young teen who scooped Miss Teen Swaziland crown last weekend; Tyra Johnson, from Jabez High School. It was by no doubt that she would win the crown as her confidence was on another level not to mention her beauty. She was crowned alongside 15-year-old Nina Zwane who scoped second princess and 16-year-old Emihle Dzimba as her first princess. Read more about Johnson on the opposite page. On the same page, we have the lady behind Miss Teen SD beauty pageant Sonia Silver. She tells L& E that pageants to her are generally designed to contribute positively to the development of the contestants and she is planning on building the pageant into a sustainable programme in order to further support the top contestants entering each respective year as well as support its future social outreach programmes. You can indulge about Sonia on the same page. Guess what? The wait is finally over for FNB Smooth Fest fans as it has been revealed that the fest will held be this year with an exciting line-up such as Zonke, Jimmy Dludlu, Nomalungelo, Floewe, Amanda Black who will make her debut performance in the country after being nominated at the BET awards few a months ago. This was revealed at the launch which was held at Nkonyeni Golf Estate on Thursday. It was also revealed that Somizi will be coming again as he will be the programme director of the show. Turn to page 4 and 5 and read more about the stars who will be serenading us at the Smooth Fest this year. I must say music appreciators should quickly get their tickets before they are sold out. Till next week, enjoy.
