Govt concerned about shrinking water sources
Government is concerned about the shrinking of the country’s water sources. Ministry of Agriculture Principal SecretaryBonganiMasukutoldthegathering that the issue of water is a genuine concern for the country. Masuku said water saving techniques have been employed in the country, but there is need for more work to be done. He said the country noted that flood irrigation wastes a lot of water. He said they will soon be going to Parliament to seek a law that ensures the minimal use of water in the country. He also conceded that there is no particular crop that does not need water hence the use of water will continue in the country.
