VB women to host SA side next weekend
– The Swaziland National Volleyball Association (SNVA) women national team will host South Africa side Kliplits Volleyball club next weekend.
The squad will host the Gauteng based side in a series of friendly games to be played at a venue still to be confirmed on Saturday.
The game will serve as a return match following the series of international friendly games played at the Auckland Park courts last weekend. The games were part of the team’s preparations for the All Africa Games which are funded by the Swaziland Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association (SOCGA)
SNVA Secretary Nonophile ‘Affie’ Dlamini confirmed the developments when contacted yesterday. “We will be having a friendly match with Kliplits club who have requested to come and play a return match with the ladies national team. The match will be played next weekend. We are still working on the logistics and the team will be announced in due course.
We believe the games will boost the preparations for the African Games to be held in two years ,”she said.
“The team resume training as from Wednesday in preparations of the return leg,” she said.
The Thulani Maphosa Started the preparations on a high as they managed to beat three South African sides during the games last weekend.
