As the world is all about taking risks and making the best out of them, Actuaries play a vital role in ensuring that the risks are within a controllable range.

This is what Nolwazi Magagula wants to do after doing exceptionally well in her Matric examinations.

She attained five Distinctions (SiSwati, English, Life Orientation, Business Studies and Tourism) and one Credit in Life Science. With her good results, Nolwazi said she aspires to study Actuary in the University of Pretoria.

She attributed her achievements to the support of her teachers and parents who ensured that she gets the best out of herself. Nolwazi said however, she would have liked achieving more as she started preparing for the exams early in the year.

She also disclosed that her strength was in believing in herself and everything that she engaged in.

Moreover, the young girl thanked the administration of the school for providing an environment which was conducive for learning.

“Most of all, I want to thank my aunt, Phumzile Nhleko who always made sure that I have adequate time for studying,” she said.
