When a pupil has the full support of her parents or guardian in her school work, she excels.

This was evident when one Bhekiwe Magongo of U-Tech High School accumulated five Distinctions (English, Life Orientation, Business Studies, Economics and Tourism) and two credits (SiSwati and Life Science).

Bhekiwe attributed her achievements to the support she got from her parents who went to the extent of sparing her from doing house chores as they wanted her to concentrate on her studies.

Moreover, Bhekiwe said she would engage in cross-night studying as she wanted to ensure that she gets the best result at the end of the year.

She warned her peers however, that cross-night studying can only be done before the start of the examinations. Bhekiwe said unlike many others, she believed in individual work as she conducted her studies alone, as compared to group studying.

She disclosed that she also made use of weekend classes where the pupils would be assisted by their teachers in attending to some difficult topics. Meanwhile, Bhekiwe disclosed that she would like to undertake a Business Management course abroad.
