Lady Joe’s E15 000 tour­ney reaches fi­nals

SOC­CER - Ma­fut­seni foot­ball lovers will be treated to an epic show­down pit­ting Tim­bu­tini and Bhudla in the Lady Joe E15 000 tour­na­ment fi­nals sched­uled for to­mor­row.

The tour­na­ment, spon­sored by the elec­tri­cal com­pany based at Ma­fut­seni and sub­con­tract­ing at SEC, com­menced dur­ing the fes­tive season and the con­test be­gan with 19 teams but the num­ber has de­creased to the last two.

Lady Joe com­mu­ni­ca­tions of­fi­cer Com­fort Matse said the com­pany takes pride in giv­ing back to the com­mu­nity and ev­ery team will have some­thing to smile about af­ter the tour­na­ment.

“We started off with E10 000 in a tour­na­ment of this nature last year and we in­creased the prize money in 2017. We are also spon­sor­ing so­cial teams to the tune of E2 000 and their fi­nals will be staged on the same day as the main at­trac­tion on the day.

We would like to thank the Manzini re­gional of­fice for their co-op­er­a­tion and the lo­cal po­lice for see­ing to it that our events are vi­o­lence free,” he said.

The win­ner on the day will walk away with a sum of E3 000 while the run­ners up will pocket E2 000.
