Cops clean­ing un­li­censed guns

Mem­bers of the Royal Eswatini Po­lice Ser­vice (REPS) con­tinue to be as vig­i­lant as pos­si­ble on any wrong­ful ac­tiv­i­ties in the coun­try.

This comes af­ter Lobamba Po­lice ar­rested and charged a 29 year old man of Buka in Ezul­wini for be­ing found in pos­ses­sion of a pis­tol loaded with six live rounds of am­mu­ni­tion with­out a li­cense or per­mit while in the area. Po­lice re­ported that the sus­pect will ap­pear be­fore the Mba­bane Mag­is­trate Court for the crimes he has been charged for.

The po­lice with their eyes on the ground fur­ther ar­rested and charged a 62 year old woman of Mbang­weni, Lavu­misa for be­ing found in pos­ses­sion of a Reed Buck tro­phy with­out a li­cense or per­mit while at Mbang­weni. The po­lice said the arms of the law will deal with her trans­gres­sion at the Nh­langano Mag­is­trate Court, where she will an­swer her crimes re­lated to the Game Act.

Chief Po­lice In­for­ma­tion and Com­mu­ni­ca­tions Of­fi­cer Su­per­in­tended Phindile Vi­lakati fur­ther re­ported that po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing a theft of a mo­tor ve­hi­cle case where on Thurs­day at around 5pm, a 27 year old man of Sid­vwashini in Mba­bane dis­cov­ered that his mo­tor ve­hi­cle, a sil­ver grey Toy­ota Corolla regis­tered OSD 125 BH val­ued at E40 000 was stolen while parked at Sid­vwashini. Vi­lakati fur­ther re­quested any­one who might have in­for­ma­tion, which may lead to the ar­rest of the sus­pects to con­tact Desk Of­fi­cer As­sis­tant In­spec­tor Sandile Dlamini or the Mba­bane Po­lice at She said they can also dial for on any in­for­ma­tion that can lead to the re­cov­ery of the mo­tor ve­hi­cle.
