Cops cleaning unlicensed guns
Members of the Royal Eswatini Police Service (REPS) continue to be as vigilant as possible on any wrongful activities in the country.
This comes after Lobamba Police arrested and charged a 29 year old man of Buka in Ezulwini for being found in possession of a pistol loaded with six live rounds of ammunition without a license or permit while in the area. Police reported that the suspect will appear before the Mbabane Magistrate Court for the crimes he has been charged for.
The police with their eyes on the ground further arrested and charged a 62 year old woman of Mbangweni, Lavumisa for being found in possession of a Reed Buck trophy without a license or permit while at Mbangweni. The police said the arms of the law will deal with her transgression at the Nhlangano Magistrate Court, where she will answer her crimes related to the Game Act.
Chief Police Information and Communications Officer Superintended Phindile Vilakati further reported that police are investigating a theft of a motor vehicle case where on Thursday at around 5pm, a 27 year old man of Sidvwashini in Mbabane discovered that his motor vehicle, a silver grey Toyota Corolla registered OSD 125 BH valued at E40 000 was stolen while parked at Sidvwashini. Vilakati further requested anyone who might have information, which may lead to the arrest of the suspects to contact Desk Officer Assistant Inspector Sandile Dlamini or the Mbabane Police at She said they can also dial for on any information that can lead to the recovery of the motor vehicle.
