The an­nual prayer ser­vice aims at ex­press­ing thanks to God for the gift of life and for pro­tect­ing the whole cor­rec­tional com­mu­nity in the dis­charge of its du­ties through­out the year.

Also for thank­ing the Almighty for guid­ance and pro­tect­ing of­fi­cers in the man­date of trans­form­ing the lives of of­fend­ers to law abid­ing cit­i­zens.

It is also an op­por­tu­nity to ap­pre­ci­ate the sup­port of the na­tion, pas­tors, dif­fer­ent faith based or­gan­i­sa­tions and in­di­vid­u­als in mak­ing the cor­rec­tional work a suc­cess.

The guest speaker was Dr Simon Din­gane Gumbi of the As­sem­blies of God in South Africa.

The ser­vices were at­tended by of­fi­cers, of­fend­ers, over 100 res­i­dents from Mat­sapha and sur­round­ing ar­eas as well as of­fi­cials from sister forces.
