‘Tyson’, Mayisela blow for Malanti
– NORTHERN Hhohho based side Malanti Chiefs will be without the services of defender Xolani ‘Tyson’ Magagula and Thembumenzi Mayisela when they face-off with first-placed Green Mamba tomorrow.
This is according to a communique from the Eswatini Premier League (PLE) through the office of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Simanga Nhleko yesterday.
“Xolani Magagula of Malanti Chiefs has accumulated three yellow cards and therefore according to Article 6.2 of the 2018/19 MTN Premier League rules and regulations, the player is automatically suspended from participating in the next match to be played by his team,” reads part of the letter by the CEO.
‘Tyson’ as the former Mbabane Swallows defender got his third yellow card during the team’s mid-week encounter where Malanti Chiefs facedoff against Lubombo based side Tambuti and played to a 1-all stalemate.
Meanwhile, the team’s Captain Thembumenzi Mayisela will also sit the team’s clash out as he got his marching orders in the team’s last-weekend match against hub giants Manzini Wanderers. The Raymond Dlamini led-charges are currently placed on the bottom half of the league, on ninth position and are on nine points, meaning they trail their opponents Green Mamba by 15 points. Kick-off is 1.30pm at the Somhlolo National Stadium.
