Ap­peals to bury be­headed woman

Lindiwe Mh­langa is re­quest­ing as­sis­tance to bury her sis­ter. Fresh from iden­ti­fy­ing the body at Nh­langano, Mh­langa said she was bereft as she had no way of sourc­ing funds to bury the mother of five. She first re­quested that re­porters avoid go­ing to their home­stead at Mdumezulu, on the out­skirts of Manzini.

Mh­langa said her fa­ther was not well and as such she was still try­ing to find a way of in­form­ing him. When called yes­ter­day af­ter­noon, she said she was still brac­ing her­self for the right time as she could not bring her­self to in­form the el­derly man know that the grue­some mur­der which has gripped the na­tion was his own daugh­ter. She re­lented that she was shocked that her sis­ter had been bru­tally mur­dered by the per­son who was sup­posed to have pro­tected her. She said her sis­ter leaves be­hind five chil­dren two for Khu­malo and three from an­other man. Mh­langa re­vealed that all the chil­dren were mi­nors as the eldest was in Grade Four while the youngest is about 18 months old. “I don’t know what to do as I don’t have any­thing in hand right now,” she said while leav­ing Nh­langano. She re­vealed that she could not even trans­port her sis­ter’s re­mains from Nh­langano, “This is what I told the po­lice that I don’t know how will I trans­port her as I am the only one left. Our mother passed away while our fa­ther stays at home help­less as he suf­fered a stroke,” she lamented. She said she would like her sis­ter’s fu­neral to fall on the week­end af­ter the po­lice are done with their in­ves­ti­ga­tions.
