J- Former National Director of Public Prosecutions Mxolisi Nxasana wants President Jacob Zuma to face cross-examination about what motivated his removal from office.

In an interview with eNCA on Friday, Nxasana claimed the president was determined to fire him because Zuma feared being prosecuted for corruption.

Nxasana revealed he knew his position at the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) was in jeopardy when Zuma refused to meet with him.

He said when he eventually managed to secure time with the presi dent, Zuma made it clear t he NPA head was no longer in his good books.

“He told me that people were telling him that I’m dangerous, that I really want to prosecute him and he said to me you know the mere mention of Mr Ngcuka, Bulelani, it just drives him crazy. And he said these people came to him and said I meet with Bulelani Ngcuka in one of the flats in Durban.”
