Mi nis­ter of Ed­u­ca­tion and Train­ing Dr Phineas Ma­gag­ula said prin­ci­pals are us­ing their own dis­cre­tion on what to say or not to say dur­ing a speech and giv­ing prize day.

“I would not like to com­ment on other peo­ple’s speeches,” Ma­gag­ula con­cluded, clearly avoid­ing a dis­cus­sion whether it is right or wrong to ex­pose pupils at such events.
